Released by Duncan Taylor as part of the Tantalus range, this is quite something from the Bowmore distillery. A 31-year-old single malt Scotch whisky presented in a hand-crafted case, made from the cask itself that matured this exact Spirit! Independent bottlers Duncan Taylor have done a fine job with the Tantalus bottlings.
Nose: Germolene, vanilla and a trace of smoke. Pine and almonds.
Taste: Milky chews, floral notes and also slightly herbal - sage and violets.
Finish: Soft smokiness builds after a waxy orange note fades.
